Hotel Puri Melaka is a warm, authentic escape in the heart of Melaka, celebrated for its graceful Peranakan style and intimate, boutique-hotel vibe. From the moment you step into the lobby, antique decor and wooden furnishings create a sense of heritage charm, while well-tended gardens and small green courtyards bring a peaceful, residential feeling to the property. Guests often note the delightful aromas and spotless rooms, many of which open onto quiet garden views that add a refreshing touch to every stay.
The location is unbeatable — an easy stroll to Jonker Street and within walking distance of the city’s top attractions — making this an ideal choice for both first-time visitors and returning travelers who want to explore Melaka on foot. Mornings are a highlight here: a thoughtfully prepared breakfast and house-made treats (the banana bread comes highly recommended) set a pleasant tone for the day. Rooms and bathrooms are consistently described as clean, comfortable, and pleasantly scented, with tasteful antique touches that echo the hotel’s heritage theme.
Beyond comfortable accommodations, the hotel offers relaxing amenities including the signature Puri Spa, where treatments are designed to refresh and unwind after a day of sightseeing. Friendly, attentive staff complement the peaceful setting, helping arrange local tips and easy access to nearby dining and attractions. Whether you’re traveling with family, as a couple, or solo, the combination of historic character, modern comfort, and a serene garden atmosphere makes Hotel Puri Melaka a reliable, well-loved choice for visitors seeking something more personal than a typical chain property.
For guests who appreciate heritage design, a central Melaka address, and restorative spa time, Hotel Puri Melaka delivers a memorable stay that blends local tradition with thoughtful hospitality. It’s a highly recommended option for anyone looking for a boutique lodging experience with character, comfort, and a superb location close to the city’s cultural heartbeat.

2 weeks agoMy family and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. First time here. The front of the hotel looked good with the peranakan decor and furniture. Location is 5 min from from the night market. Unfortunately, that's all good to say. We drove there and were told that we could park temporarily in front of the hotel to unload our luggages. It wad not true. We were honked at by vehicles behind. Parking lots were very limited. In the end we had to parked about 250meters away. Reception did not bother to show me the room which I took a good 15 min to walk and find. Room was okay but not as fantastic as per other reviews.

2 weeks agoI stayed here 7 years ago, but I didn’t expect it to be this dirty. Luckily, only staying for one night.

2 weeks agoThe location is great, right next to Jonker Street, quiet despite being in a bustling area, but parking is very inconvenient. The rooms are small, decorated in a retro style with local Peranakan influences. The downsides are that the rooms are damp, the soundproofing is terrible, the air conditioning and fan are noisy, and I can even hear the neighbors showering. There are tons of mosquitoes in the room, and the front desk's solution is to spray insecticide while someone is in the room… I don't know if they're trying to kill the mosquitoes or the guests. The breakfast is okay, average. The front desk's attitude is unacceptable to me.
