Loved the rooms. Comfortable, modern, and bright.

A very nice hotel. The setting is magnificent, and the room was lovely too. I had the afternoon tea; it was generous and delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is fantastic, less than 5 minutes from Jonker Street. There's a wide variety of breakfast options, something for everyone. I highly recommend this hotel.

Every corner of hotel is worth phototaking. Its within Jonker Street and there is parking for hotel guests. They offer peranakan kueys during check in. Rooms are big and clean. Only issue with me is not sound proof, i can withstand closing door sounds but the aircon ‘s sound made me wear ear plugs if not unable to sleep at all. They have peranakan dress+makeup photography studio on ground floor. No need to go around find other studios. Price is $498ringgit. Best is u rent costume and do your own hair and makeup. Oh yah hotel breakfast nasi lemak nice, coffee normal. Thankfully good coffee and cafes within walking distance. Went kopi Harian.

What we loved - Thank you very much for upgrading us to a larger family room (Room 301), which came with a balcony, an outdoor bathtub and an additional bed. Unfortunately, we did not get to use them because of the rain, but we greatly appreciated the extra space. - The room was clean, comfortable and cosy, with more than enough space for the four of us - myself, my two elderly parents and my six-year-old child. - The hotel itself is beautiful. We enjoyed taking our time to explore its different corners, including the library, garden, rooftop tanning pools, old well and water features. It was lovely learning about the building's history while taking photos around the property. Things to note - As this is a heritage building, sound insulation is not as strong as in newer hotels. On our first night, we could hear some karaoke singing nearby and for two nights we could clearly hear the thunderstorm and heavy rain. However, we are not particularly sensitive to noise and actually found the rain quite soothing to sleep in. The hotel provides earplugs for guests who may be more affected. - The complimentary breakfast buffet is relatively simple compared with the many food options available nearby. The selection included cold cuts, salad, porridge, nasi lemak with chicken, toast, eggs, sausages and beverages such as tea, coffee and juice. For our family, this was perfectly adequate. My parents are not fans of sweet breakfasts, so they were happy to skip the popular café offerings at Kopi Harian and The Daily Fix (we have them for afternoon tea instead), both of which are only about a five-minute walk away. - The roads around the hotel can get quite busy, so some care is needed when crossing. On the upside, the hotel is extremely close to Jonker Street and the night market, making it very convenient to explore the area on foot. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. I would especially recommend Baba House Melaka to families and those travelling with elderly parents and children too. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel is conveniently located near many of Melaka's main attractions. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
