in the last weekTLDR IMHO the best 3star hotel i hav stayed ever. We came on a weekend n booked two rooms overlooking the Melaka river/canal. Check in was straightforward, though i was not invited/ given my welcome drink. Small matter. We got the 2nd floor rooms n when possible, get room 213A as it has the better view. My room was next door 213 n due to the huge tree overlooking the balcony, it somewhat blocked the river view. Room was huge, no funny or musty smells n overall was very well decorated. Love the classic cupboard and huge TV. The bathroom's impression i can say even surpasses some 5star hotels in terms of size, fittings n amenities, with the best ever shower head experience, big bath tub n natural decoration theme at the window area. Water pressure n volume too were better than most other 5 star hotels. The nite view from the balcony became even better with the many colourful lights n watching ppl go about eating at the opposite cafe n crossing the iconic colorful bridge. I choose this hotel for the river view and was even more happy with the room n bathroom deco n facilities. The other decos at foyer n corridors ie the many paintings, carvings n eye candies located here n there really tells of the effort of giving this a beautifully appointed hotel. Some gripes. since this hotel does not have a dedicated area for offloading guests, can get busy n dangerous with bags n elderly to check in and out. Hotel Parking is available albeit limited n a bit far from the hotel n the attached restaurant did provide a good place for dining etc. I have no reservations at all recommending this hotel, specifically the rooms with the river view. Will definitely come again.

3 weeks agoThe location is excellent, with a few parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. The room design is nice, with a fun style. The woody perfume was a bit too much, and the sweat-stained gold pillow made me feel like I was spinning – I loved it! (See pictures)
