I have to complain! If you're staying in room number 2 in the lobby, beware! The front desk staff were absolutely terrible. The two Indian customer service representatives... I specifically requested a quiet room before booking. But they gave me a room in the busiest spot in the lobby, with a sink in front of the door, and I could hear water running upstairs from inside the room. The worst problem was that they gave me a room with a terrible musty smell. Do they think this is my first time staying here? I've stayed here many times! The wardrobe, the TV cabinet, and the wooden cabinet next to the bed were all moldy. The air conditioning smelled musty too. I've stayed at 1825 so many times, and I've never felt this uncomfortable before. This is the first time I've encountered this situation. When I searched on Google, I found that someone else stayed in room number 2 in the lobby last week and had the same problem! A very strong musty smell! They were also refused a room change?! And you haven't improved it yet! And you still let me stay here?! These two front desk staff are truly outrageous! I don't know if it was intentional or not. When I told the two Indian customer service representatives at the front desk about my problem—the room smelled very musty—and asked the front desk to change my room, they told me that it's normal for wood to get moldy? And then? I paid to smell this musty odor? Are you crazy? Use your brain! If you were a hotel using wooden furniture, you would definitely have a way to remove this mold! There are so many mold removal products on the market! I have them at home! They even told me there were no extra rooms. Because I insisted and loudly demanded a change of room immediately! "This is your problem, you have to take responsibility!" Then suddenly they produced a room for me. There's a room? They said there wasn't one just now? In conclusion: Good management can improve a hotel; bad management can cause a hotel to lose money. Human factors are avoidable.

It was a very satisfying experience. The male receptionist was really kind, he carefully explained everything to us, always smiled and also helped us with our stuff. Didn’t remember his name but starts with a J, thank you so much. Room was clean, the bed was soo comfortable and the hotel itself is very pretty. Recommend 👍🏻 Disclaimer: I booked the room with a window but the view was just the back of someone’s house. I didn’t really mind but maybe it’s better to just book a room with no window (aside from the river view room) as it would be cheaper. Otherwise all great

It’s just next to Jonker street. Just take the back door and walk over the bridge and you’ll get to Jonker.
