Indigo Restaurant • The Blue Mansion sits within the iconic Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion and pairs historic atmosphere with carefully paced, contemporary tasting menus that celebrate local ingredients. Diners appreciate the well-timed multi-course meals — from memorable scallops and homemade bread to decadent chocolate and pecan tarts — and the attentive service that notices the small moments, like a birthday candle or a personalized dessert. Staff take time to describe each dish, and the front-of-house team’s hospitality adds to the relaxed, cultured ambiance. Guests often opt for the three- or five-course options paired with local wines, enjoying light music and the mansion’s unique setting. While a few dishes may invite minor tweaks, the overall experience is lauded for its balance of flavor, presentation and setting. Favored by locals and visitors alike and trusted by over 630 diners, Indigo offers a heritage dining experience in George Town that’s both polished and warmly human.

2 weeks agoA hidden gem restaurant in the blue mansion, the set lunch here has good value. Book early for lunch, and you can tour around the building for some photo taking after the meal. A great place to visit on special occasion.

2 weeks agoThis place is completely overrated & not woth it First of all to reserve a table you have to pay Ringgit 200 per person which shall be adjusted in your bill - When we reached there they told us that they only have a set menu - The Vegetarian Set Menu is Ringgit 390 pet person - They make you sit for 2 hours to make you eat the 6 dishes which is completely not worth the money - Also the restaurant was more than half empty -Please dont go there to eat

2 weeks agoOn Chinese New Year's Eve 2026, we ate a set meal for two, which cost RM1082.30. The price was extremely expensive, and the food was served incredibly slowly. We had to wait a long time for each dish, and complaining multiple times didn't help. We ate seven dishes from 6:40 PM until closing time at 10:00 PM. It completely ruined our Chinese New Year mood. It was absolutely terrible!
