in the last week有朋自遠方來。多年前在世界宗教研討會認識的台北朋友，這次來檳城小住幾天。他精通茶藝、花藝與香水調製，談起器物、香氣與生活細節，總帶著一種緩慢而細膩的節奏。這回，他指定想吃娘惹菜，於是便陪他來到 Bibik's Kitchen。 店面藏身於喬治市老街排屋之中，白色騎樓、娘惹裝飾與舊式磁磚，帶著一種介於旅遊與家常之間的氛圍。點了附有椰醬味極濃的otak otak、三色飯、Sambal臭豆鮮蝦與一道帶著鑊氣的cencalok肉片料理。味道不算驚艷，卻踏實順口，價格也算公道，適合朋友遠道而來時，慢慢坐下聊天。牆上的卡巴雅、娘惹器皿與老照片，也讓空間多了一層近乎「微型博物館」般的日常展示感。
