in the last weekThis review is about the Jazz Afternoon Tea on Sundays. It's supposed to be a High Tea (the IG posts show it as such) but the food was served in a wooden box, and the quality of it was completely and utterly disappointing - I expected more from the Blue Mansion at this price point. The food was so bad the sandwich filling was actually frozen. I've been to many high teas where the tiered stand was filled with a variety of delicious food - this is not one of them! The Jazz itself was nice, but the band was setup in front of an open door. Nice in theory but the light from outside made it uncomfortable to look at the band, and hard to take photos of. Either close the door/put up some covering, or put lights on the band to counteract the outdoor light. Overall extremely disappointed, and would not recommend to anyone until they get their act together.

in the last weekI’m honestly puzzled by the high ratings. My experience was very underwhelming. Dinner took about 2.5 hours, and the pacing was far too slow. The first few dishes were promising, but things went downhill from there. The main course arrived cold, the portion was surprisingly small, and the food itself was quite ordinary — especially disappointing given the expectations. The service staff were very kind and polite, which I appreciated, but good service alone couldn’t make up for the kitchen execution.

3 weeks agoIndigo is a quiet confidence that most places try desperately to fake. Peranakan flavours, reworked with precision. No theatrics, no pretence. You can taste it when a chef has passion. A straight 10/10. Service was exceptional. Vincent and Arieph were warm, sharp, and genuine company. The team even followed up on WhatsApp beforehand to navigate my impressively fragile genetic makeup, and turned it into a series of considered, beautifully executed custom dishes. They also went all in for my wife’s birthday with a committed performance from Arieph, whose enthusiasm comfortably outperformed his singing voice. The space is stunning. Worth the visit on its own. Everything was 5 star: the food, service, setting. One of the most memorable meals we’ve had anywhere in the world.
