We were disappointed in our stay at the majestic hotel .. rooms were a great size and service from staff was lovely however this is very much a 4 star hotel and whilst I understand it is a heritage hotel there are many upgrades this hotel needs to improve its shared spaces and leisure facilities Pool is dreadful

Everything was simply amazing—the hospitality, the rich history of the building, the interior design, and the overall cleanliness. I thoroughly enjoyed having a historic Peranakan building all to myself! Since I didn't know much about Melaka, the front desk staff were incredibly helpful with great advice and recommendations. Plus, the traditional sweets served with the welcome drink are so cute! The location is also very convenient. With delicious restaurants, convenience stores, and a coin laundry nearby, I think it’s fully equipped for a long-term stay. Right across the street from the entrance, there’s a river flowing by, offering a wonderful view. The room was spacious with a cozy, large bed, and I loved stretching out in the clawfoot bathtub to wash away the fatigue of travel. Even though it's a historic building, I was so impressed by how impeccably clean everything was. Breakfast offered a fantastic selection, thoughtfully and politely served, which made for a wonderful start to the day. Next time, I definitely want to stay for two nights or more!

A great hotel in easy walking distance of the places to see in Malacca. Good breakfast, nice pool. It's very comfortable with old world charm.

Pleasant hotel. It is a UNESCO site. Small hotel but has character. Because it is not fully-booked when I stayed there, it was rather quiet and peaceful, without noisy guests and children. Amenities are limited due to the small size. Staff are polite. Rooms are spacious, with an old-school feel.

Stayed at the Majestic for 2 nights on our way back to Singapore, and felt so looked after and welcomed by absolutely everybody at the hotel. THE STAFF absolutely made this experience what it was. A small but mighty team, we felt so acknowledged and looked after from the moment we stepped in, to the moment we left. Check in experience was lovely, we had a tea and some kristang desserts, just a taste of what was to come. THE FOOD and additional experiences provided by the hotel are something I think not many people have shared on. We did the afternoon tea and the cooking class Breakfast was always the busiest time, and I think the menu gives the talents of the kitchen a bad rep. They're covering a few palettes that aren't true to their skills so I absolutely recommend having dinner in the hotel at least once to experience the Kristang cuisine experience. We had been in Melaka a week at this point, so we had our fill of Nonya food, and indulged in the dinner menu which offers way more than what breakfast does. Highly recommend. The cooking class further dives into the Kristang cuisine and you get to shop at the market and direct sources the kitchen get their ingredients from. Then you get the most amazing outdoor kitchen set up for you to make your dishes. This was absolutely a highlight and appreciated the special touches like getting a personalised apron, a certificate, and even some extra fruits thrown in by the market staff because I said I wanted to try them. The afternoon tea is a great option if you're over the heat and want to stay indoors. THE ROOM was lovely, overlooking the river and a fraction outside of the heritage district so you have easy access to everything, yet feel secluded in a quieter area. Agreed with the comments that the rooms could use a refresh, with our shower head leaking and the bath tub being plastic, there are some finishes that could be upgraded. That said, nothing that would deter me from coming back again. Bed was comfortable, on the softer side. THE SPA VILLAGE offers a very unique service menu. No matter which service you pick, you are taken through a traditional wedding hair care ritual. We did the nutmeg-rice rolling ritual, I snored my way through it hahaha, it was so good. Small gestures we greatly appreciated - We loved the hankies that came with the welcome cake and asked if we could purchase them. The next day the front desk showed us a brand new order of multiple colours so we could pick what we liked for just 2RM. Security and the bell boys were always on pointe, opening doors, taking our bags, making sure we didn't have to do anything when entering or leaving the hotel. The intention behind each art work and picture on the walls. Take a second to stop and look, because the heritage and patriotism comes through so wonderfully.
