in the last weekOverall, we were not satisfied with our experience. We were celebrating a birthday, so perhaps our expectations were higher than usual. The venue itself is lovely - Macalister Mansion is a beautiful place with a great atmosphere. The service staff, especially the lady who served us, were polite and pleasant. But it was too cold inside. However, the main issue was the food. The taste, portion sizes, and overall value did not meet expectations. Only the main courses were good; the starters were disappointing. The bread was overcooked and dry inside. The snow crab dish was very poor (1/5). The foie gras was overcooked and lacked proper seasoning - I even asked for it to be redone and sent it back to the kitchen. The cod and lamb main courses were tasty, but the portion sizes were surprisingly small - similar to starters. The dessert with orange was also not enjoyable. There were also service issues: my wife was served a different wine than the one she ordered. Additionally, the foie gras was not removed from the bill despite being returned, and there was no birthday dessert or gesture, which was disappointing given the occasion. We paid over 650+, and unfortunately, the experience did not match the price or the expectations for a Michelin Guide restaurant.

2 weeks agoOnion soup: average. Duck noodles: slightly strong gamey smell. Wagyu & foie gras: the quality is acceptable, but the sauce tastes strange and doesn’t pair well. Drinks: standard. The ambiance and atmosphere are excellent. The service was also very good.
