Heartwarming Mee Rebus and Rojak in Taman Jaya, Melaka

Kedai Hassan Mee Rebus is a beloved local spot in Taman Jaya Padang Temu, Melaka, known for serving comforting, authentic mee rebus and a standout rojak that keeps people coming back. This unpretentious eatery captures the nostalgic charm of Malay comfort food—simple surroundings, friendly service, and dishes that feel like home on the first bite. The signature mee rebus arrives with a rich, perfectly balanced sauce that reviewers describe as both sweet and savoury, coating the noodles and toppings in a way that’s deeply satisfying. Portions are generous and thoughtfully seasoned, and variants like mee Rojak Sotong add a fresh, seafood-forward twist for those who want something heartier. Many diners highlight the rojak as a must-try: loaded with generous ingredients, tossed in a sauce that hits the right harmony of tang, sweetness, and spice. Beyond the dishes themselves, the shop’s clean, airy environment makes it a comfortable stop for families and solo diners alike. It’s the kind of place where the food does the talking—straightforward, flavorful, and well worth the visit. Portions are good value, and guests often comment that the quality feels worth every ringgit spent. Whether you come for the classic mee rebus, the addictive rojak, or to sample the mee Rojak Sotong, expect bold flavors, generous servings, and a warm, down-to-earth atmosphere that reflects the best of neighborhood dining.

We stopped here on our way to Bandar hilir from Pulai. We had Mee Rojak Sotong, Mee Rebus Kuih and Mee Biasa. Highly recommended for their taste and promptness. No wait at all, we got our food almost immediately. Authentic taste and our Kiwi children loved it.

Born in 1975 and by 1980, I could hear Abang Hassan calling out “Mee Rebus, Rojak” and was on his pushcart and cycling around my grandmother’s home in Taman Sinn in Ujong Pasir…. I grew up eating his mee rebus and Rojak until this very day… I have been living in Australia for the last 20 years but every trip back to Melaka, I will make it a point to see him and order my usual of mee rebus campur kuah Rojak…
