At 8 Jalan Bukit Cina, heritage architecture folds into modern creativity; sunlight filters through antique windows as plants seem to hum stories of Malacca’s layered past. 

Feels Like Home (But Better)

Walking in, I felt like I’d entered my grandmother’s living room—but she was asking if I wanted pumpkin bao or chrysanthemum latte. Locahouz is decorated with relics that feel more like memories: a sewing machine, a vintage bicycle, rotary phone—all tracing the owners’ family stories.

Delights Worth Lingering Over

The menu beautifully blends local flavor and modern twists. I still daydream about the Pumpkin Bao with Coffee-Marinated Pork Belly—sweet, savory, and utterly inventive. The dreamy Chrysanthemum Latte followed, floral and soothing. For something playful and refreshingly bold, I sipped their homemade orange-lemon beer.
