a week agoWould come back to Malacca just for this restaurant. We got the lamb shank, chicken rendang pie, and the honey rum banana crumble. Would highly, highly recommend the lamb n the pie - sooooooooooo good. Great setting, great service by Rukon who went out of his way to provide us with an excellent dining experience. Do give this place a try, so worth it.

a week agoWe ate otak-otak and spring chicken and meringue. The otak2 was very good, served with kuah lemak with shrimp umami. The spring chicken served with nasi minyak, very crispy and flavorful. The meringue served with ice-cream, passion fruit and strawberry. So good!!

2 weeks agoI rode my motorcycle all the way from Singapore to Melaka just to eat at Campong O’oloo, then ride back home. Zero regrets. I would do it again. The food was genuinely insane. The pulled beef rendang kueh pie tee was OH MY GOD good. Like, I actually treasured every bite. Crispy little shell, rich rendang, deep flavour, just damn shiok. The Limau Purut Ayam was also such a work of art. Plating was beautiful, but more importantly, it tasted divine. The chicken was super tender, the skin had the right crisp, and the limau purut sauce was tangy, bright, and smackingly good. Really hit all the right notes. Then the banana rum ice cream dessert came in and became the cherry on top. Hot, cold, sweet, fragrant, comforting, truly the perfect ending to the meal. And I have to give a big shoutout to Rukun, who served me. He was so, so, so friendly, helped recommend what to order, and honestly his choices were perfect for me as a solo diner. He also kept checking in on me and the other diners, which made the whole experience feel really warm and personal. Food amazing, service amazing, ambience beautiful. Campong O’oloo is absolutely worth the trip.
