The café has a poster advertising a complimentary enamel pin for sharing your visit on Xiaohongshu (XHS), supposedly for “international tourists.” When I asked a staff member about it, he hesitated for a good five seconds before saying it was no longer available. However, when my friend asked again during payment, we could clearly hear the cashier ask another staff member, “新加坡的可以吗？” (“Does Singapore count?”), to which the other staff reluctantly replied, “Okay.” If this promotion is actually intended only for China-based XHS users, then please state that clearly on the poster. Don’t advertise it as being for “international tourists.” The current wording is misleading and makes non-China users feel like they’re asking for something they were never meant to receive. We had planned to visit several more 103 outlets during our trip, but after this experience, we’ve decided to boycott the brand instead. Edit : The pins were not sold out - my friend received it. A promotion should be graciously ran.
