2 weeks agoMichelin Bib Gourmand street food in KL with signature claypot chicken rice! I visited here to try one of the most famous restaurant guaranteed by Michelin guide in Malaysia. It was my first experience to try eating claypot chicken rice and I felt that it was really delicious with their main dishes and side dishes as well. Anyway, I think their main dishes were very good, but their side dishes were amazing. Well recommended to visit this restaurant if you come to Malaysia! Please prepare for 30-minute waiting for their queue!!

a week agoThe best claypot chicken rice I've ever had in KL! The thin sliced Chinese sausage has a great texture and taste to it. The rice and chicken were evenly heated as the top of the claypot was heated as well with charcoal! The cue is long but the wait is less than an hour for our dinner, when we arrived at 7pm and by the time we finish, the cue is gone (the claypot chicken rice finished!) don't forget to order soup and the seafood tofu.

2 weeks agoI tried the small-sized claypot chicken rice along with lime juice with sour plum. While the drink was refreshing and enjoyable, the claypot rice didn’t fully meet my expectations—perhaps I had set them too high. The rice was a bit dry, and the salt was on the lower side. Adding Chinese salted fish did enhance the flavor, but it didn’t quite seep into the chicken. The chefs were friendly, but I had to sit in the extended seating area since the main restaurant was full, and the ambience there wasn’t great. Another downside was the long wait time, especially for a small portion. However, the dish was still decent, and I’d be open to trying more items from their menu in the future.

4 months agoFound this place through google review and decided to make a trip here. Driving in KL is no easy feat and parking was limited. I parked one or two street away and walked to the restaurant. We arrived just a little after 11am, on a Monday, and the place was not too busy. Staff were attentive and while the streets were old and dirty, the restaurant was clean. Ordered the claypot chicken rice with salty fish and it was splendid! The chicken was tender, the sauce on the rice was tasteful and it was heavenly after you mix the salted fish with it. The place has a rusty feel. It was fortunate we arrived earlier ahead of lunch as there was a queue shortly after.

in the last weekCame here for dinner. Got recommendation from Youtube, whom said that it is a Michelin star restaurant. Rice claypot was good and dominantly sweet soybean sauce. But it might not fit for those who do not like sweet taste. The umbra juice with sour plum is a must! Also the homemade fried tofu.
