We loved wandering through the stalls, admiring the crafts and artwork. It felt very authentic and less touristy than some other places we've visited. The only downside was that some of the prices seemed a little inflated for tourists. Still, a great place to soak up the atmosphere and find unique souvenirs.

4 weeks agoFrom KL Tower, it took us more than 30 minutes to get to the Central Market because of the heavy city traffic on a weekday morning. It has a wide parking lot in front. For an old (or rather, VERY old) establishment (since 1888), this is a nice place to stroll around, have a meal, and buy your souvenirs from Malaysia. There are lots of stores, there's live music and the whole place is air-conditioned. If you're visiting KL, Central Market is surely one of the places that is worth checking.

a week agoI believed it was formally a 2 storeys market converted to the current retailer paradise. Just like the Petalling market near by, it sells all kind of stuff for tourists, cater for international and local visitors. The place is in fact more like a mall and it is fully air-conditioned. Recommended for a look see!
