    I had lunch with my colleagues and found this little gem on google. It’s a humble restaurant with good air con and lots of tables. The menu had many options but we ordered the Babi Pongteh, Assam Chicken, Cincaluk omelette, pie tie and okra as well as something that tasted like Chinese “ chai Choy” but I’m not sure of the name. The portions were good and the taste of all the dishes complimented each other. Really happy to have had a chance to try some authentic Peranakan cuisine. For 8 ppl the bill came to RM160++ which comes to RM20 per person. Really good !

    This authentic Peranakan restaurant located in Kota Laksamana, Melaka serves the most delicious Peranakan dishes which are truly authentic to the Peranakan Melaka routes. Ambiance is excellent with the olden Peranakan set up. The staff are friendly and attentive. They can help you suggest what to order as well. RECOMMENDED TO TRY: Bak Wan Bebola (flavourful pork balls accompanied with a sweet and tangy sambal), ayam buah keluak (chicken cooked with the unique buah keluak), ayam buah keras (candlenut chicken, superb), ayam pong teh (special sugar laced gravy, unique only in Melaka), sambal belimbing (awesome), ikan or udang masak lemak nanas, ikan cili garam (finger licking) and cendol. PRICING: Reasonable, considering this unique Peranakan food. Do visit this restaurant when you come by Melaka, it's a must.

    Be prepared to wait. We came on a Saturday at 2.15pm, and only got a seat at 2.45pm. Seats are limited as the 2 storey shop house is quite small. Food is good and served reasonably fast. I think the mains are very good. The otah is excellent. While the pai tee tasted good and authentic, it didn't leave a deep impression. The chin chow was tasteless. Maybe they forgot about the syrup. Chendol was also not great. I think these two could have been so much better. Parking is ok, but can get packed as lots are limited, catering to 3 restaurants and a bakery.

    Been to this place numerous times whenever we go to Melaka. Nice authentic and delicious nyonya cuisine. Tried something different from what we normally ordered. - Petai fried rice (very nice and tasty too) - Kueh pie tee (always very nice) - Buah keluak (pork) (pork rib was kind of tough and we didnt really enjoy, and the black pasty fruit / vege has a unique texture and taste too) - Kacang Botol (nice and tasty crunchy vege) Highly recommended to go early if you didnt make reservation. Overall we enjoyed the meal.

    Pai tee, otakx2, Pitai w prawn are nice. But I bought the egg cake & kueh mangkit all cannot make it. That’s why I gave 3 stars only 🤭🤭
