Don’t understand why this is 2 Michelin star - I’ve dined at other Michelins starred restaurants across multiple regions and this by far is the worse I’ve ever tasted. Only liked one dish which is the dessert. The rest I had to force my friends to help me. God awful I had to spit it out

The service was outstanding, and the kitchen tour, along with the explanation of the ingredients, made the evening even more special. We were lucky enough to be seated at a front table overlooking the majestic Petronas Towers, which made the setting unforgettable. Every dish was executed to a very high standard, and the explanations provided by the floor team for each course truly enhanced the overall experience. We highly recommend the pairing menu, as each wine complemented the dishes perfectly. Excellent job to the entire team—we'll definitely be back soon!

in the last weekMalaysian Terroir and Hospitality- My partner and I visited Dewakan this past June, and from start to finish, the experience was a revelation. Housed in the striking Naza Tower, the journey begins the moment you step out of the elevator. Being met by a representative and led directly into the heart of the open kitchen to be greeted by the entire team was a "wow" moment that immediately set a tone of genuine hospitality. Before being seated, we were given an educational tour of the fermentation area. Seeing the jars of local ferments and the array of indigenous ingredients provided a profound context for the meal to come. The dining room itself is a work of art. I was in awe of the stunning custom woodwork of the tables, and the view of the Petronas Towers glowing in the night sky was absolutely breathtaking. With a limited number of covers per service, the atmosphere felt intimate, exclusive, and incredibly special. The craftsmanship of the presentation was superlative—particularly the Blue Swimmer Crab served in its shell with delicate jicama wraps. Every plate was a visual masterpiece. The service was impeccable, matching the high standards of the kitchen perfectly. Dewakan is doing something truly special for Malaysian gastronomy. Having visited 90 Michelin-starred establishments globally, I can say with confidence that the heart and precision here are world-class. Kudos to the entire team—I sincerely hope the Guide recognizes this level of innovation with a third star in the near future.
