    Spent RM971 for a Michelin two-star “full experience” that apparently includes being asked to delay going to the bathroom because the next dish had arrived. After the issue was carefully explained away, the restaurant kindly offered a complimentary ice cream. An impressive interpretation of fine dining hospitality. If you also wanna be treated like this, just give this restaurant a go Doesn’t it sound amazing that waiting for one dish upon on arrival is more important than letting you to go to the bathroom so that you experience can be smooth and full Ans not in a rush 💅💅💅 GUYS RUN DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. THEY DO NOT EVEN RESPECT THE BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS THAT THEIR TO BE ARRIVED DISH IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LETTING YOU GO TO THE BATHROOM AND PEE

    After visiting many Michelin-starred restaurants over the years, this was genuinely the first time we left not just disappointed, but feeling misled, this was in fact a scam. The evening started poorly. The welcome was anything but welcoming, we were left waiting outside for around 20 minutes while guests were brought in one by one. It set an odd tone from the outset. We were then taken through the kitchen and given a presentation about the ingredients. While some guests may enjoy this kind of introduction, it felt forced and unnecessarily long. Service throughout the evening was chaotic and lacked professionalism. There were multiple awkward incidents: staff appearing disorganized, dishes being brought and then taken away due to mistakes, and a general sense that the team was not in control of the service. Cutlery was flaying all over the place, doors slammed into multiple people, etc. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the food itself. This is the first Michelin-starred restaurant we’ve visited where the cuisine could be described as genuinely poor. Aside from two very good desserts, the rest of the menu was, at best, mediocre and often simply not enjoyable. Given the price point and expectations associated with this level of dining, the experience felt far below standard. This place isn't deserving of a single michelin star, yet alone two. I would strongly recommend others to skip this restaurant.

    Definitely deserving of the hype. Malaysian flavours condensed into 150 minutes of art and creativity. There were hits and one subjective miss, but even the miss was at least tantalising. We had a last minute dietary change and they accommodated by changing one of the mains for one of us, which was appreciated.

    We are back again and this time we brought along our relatives from the US. Everyone had a wonderful dining experience. We are fortunate to be able to enjoy their new tasting menu and they brought it to yet another level. The Raja Brooke butterfly was very impressive! Congratulations to the team at Dewakan! The kitchen tour was very enlightening with the use of ample local and raw ingredients in their menu. It is also good to know their effort in supporting local farmers and produce. It is without doubt they were awarded with the first Michelin Green Star for their sustainable practices. Service level led by Hafriz and team were top notch and yet relaxing. Well done! Looking forward to returning again soon.

    A curated visit. The staff tries quite hard, A for effort. The room is on a high floor facing Petronas Towers, nice view with big windows. All hard surfaces can make it a little loud if several tables are talking. You’re first greeted by staff with earpieces, they remind you to mind the steps and will guide you through the kitchen tour and ingredient descriptions. It’s all quite interesting as an educational and cultural experience. Perhaps a bit less so as a dining experience. I’m a westerner and have been to dozens of Michelin starred restaurants including several with this type of menu. While I do very much appreciate the effort to showcase local and unusual ingredients, if I’m paying USD$225 per person before drinks I kinda want delicious food. There were some hits and misses here. Service is generally crisp and efficient with a hint of warmth but I’d say some staff could use a bit more training. The wine pairing at USD$95 was decent. Some desserts were quite tasty. On balance I’d say we had a memorable evening.
